A dinner above Rodeo Drive.

Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura was Gucci's rooftop restaurant on Rodeo Drive, above the Beverly Hills store, and one of the most designed rooms in the city. Every surface was considered, from the green-and-white mosaic floors to the monogrammed chairs and the pergola over the terrace. It held a Michelin star and was one of the most exclusive tables in Beverly Hills. We provided the DJ equipment and sound for a private birthday dinner there.

Adding anything to a room like this is a delicate thing. The design is the point, so nothing we bring in can compete with it. We kept the whole setup minimal, using the furniture already in the space as the DJ booth, hiding the cables, and holding to clean lines so nothing pulled focus. It was a simple rig, two speakers covering the dinner and a single monitor for the DJ, each placed for full, even coverage. When the host wanted to say a few words and thank everyone for coming, we had microphones ready for that too.

The other half is feel. A private dinner on a rooftop like this has its own energy, elevated and easy at the same time, and the music had to match it. We read the room and built a sound that fit the setting, upscale without trying too hard, so the night felt exactly the way it should. At a place like this, the best compliment is that no one thinks about the production at all. They just remember the evening. Rooms this refined are exactly where we belong.
