The Oppenheim Group

We were there before the cameras were.

The Oppenheim Group is the luxury real estate brokerage behind Netflix's Selling Sunset. Long before the show, we were handling sound, lighting, and DJ services for the birthday parties of its founders, the twin brothers Jason and Brett Oppenheim, something that became a regular thing over a few years. We were behind the decks at one of those parties, at their office, the night they announced the show that would become one of Netflix's most popular reality series.

Most of our work with them has been the private events, with sound, lighting, DJ equipment, and DJ services handled end to end. We were always booked directly by the team that ran their events, never through the network, and we brought the same level of production whether the cameras were rolling or not.

Some of that work happened on camera. We provided sound for Mary Fitzgerald and Romain Bonnet's wedding, both the ceremony and the after party, which aired on the show. When production is being filmed, everything has to look and sound right for the shot, and the music is the tricky part. Anything captured on a show has to be cleared, so we curate entirely from royalty-free tracks. The skill is making that feel like a real party, keeping the room upbeat with songs most people have never heard.

What began with a birthday has run for years, across private events and the occasional shoot. On camera or off, when the room needs to sound and feel right, they call us. Through all of it, Jason, Brett, and the whole Oppenheim Group have been true professionals, and a genuine pleasure to work with.
